New Stuff in Montage

Hey All,

Just thought I'd show you some new stuff that I've put in my pop-up freo store - a very cute selection of my crowd favourite succulents, plus a pile of bunting I've just started making (sooo fun!).

If you cant make it down to the shop, then don't worry, 'cause I'll be taking it all out for one day only this Sunday for the Made on the Left Pop-Up market in the Perth Cultural Centre.

Well, for a month anyway... as part of the MONTAGE COLLECTIVE.

Read the pamphlet for deets, I'll tell you all the days I'll be behind the counter but my stuff will be there all the time. I AM SO DARN EXCITED!!! (Plus my architectural neurones are itching to do the shop layout!!!

Oh, and I'll also have STACKS AND STACKS of my amasing vintage clothes, homewares and etc from my Acorns Vintage label! Whee!

Pigeonhole Vintage Opening

These are from way back when Pigeonhole Vintage opened, we visited 4 of the 5 stores that day, and I got major blisters from wearing my t-bar heels - which are sexy as hell but quite high.

Niina wore a super cute vintage sailor dress, which spawned a conversation about Sailor Moon with the very friendly shop assistant in Shop 9 Shafto Lane (next to Capitol and Amplifier) who's name was Patrick.

So yes, don't have photos of the vintage store, but have photos of Shop 9 - the mural is by local artist Sean Morris. I love the restricted colour palette, really classy.

Indie Shops in Perth : Part 1

Hello All,

Had a great time at Made on the Left, if I saw you there, I hope I had a nice friendly hello for you!
About a week ago, I went wandering with Renee from Cocoa Pod, around Perth and Subiaco.

We went to both the Subiaco and Perth Good Sammys, and may I say they were relatively crap compared to my home hunting ground of Midland op-shops. I did pick up some awesome brooches however, which will be for sale in my vintage etsy shop soonish.

But the highlight of my day was our visit to an independently run tiny little shop in Subi;

I bought;
T2 tea selection, and washi tape :)

I've had a couple of the T2 teas before and was pretty pleased, but I think that maybe I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to tea, cause some of these were so bad I couldn't drink them. China Jasmine was ok, but Lemongrass and Ginger was literally undrinkable.

Yet to try the rest of them, but they're all pretty standard as far as tea goes so I should be fine :)

sencha - green T
chai - not my cup of T (haha, see what I did there?) but ok in small doses
english breakfast - standard black T
peppermint - leaves
chamomile - flowers
earl grey - standard black T but with bergamot

Plus a gorgeous eggshell lined with gold set in resin on a necklace that I was in love with, but was rather too pricey for little old me.

Now I just have to decide what to stick my japanese paper tape to... so many things!
