Things I did in 2010

Finally stopped wishing for someone elses hair and started loving my own. Mind you, I still straighten my fringe and dye my hair (I'm an ashy/grey blonde naturally), but I no longer have jealous lusting fits over other peoples hair and have deep resentful sulks about my own.

Did you become friends with a part of yourself in 2010 that you used to hate?

Sexyness is... Voting

Yup, I'm one of those people. The people who LOVE they get to vote, and who really do think they make a difference.

I mean, you have to pop a peice of paper in the box anyway, so why not make it count? (for those outside Australia, we here have compulsory voting - you get fined/punished if you dont)
The basics;

Two peices of paper.

One for the people who represent different areas who make up new laws (find yours HERE) -The House of Representatives. So pick the person for your area that best represents what you want, so if they get voted in all their actions will hopefully be what's best for you.

One for the people who vote on laws to see if they get passed or not. - The Senate. Vote for people based on their party policies (or personal policies if they're independent) so if they get voted in they'll vote for the stuff you want and reject the stuff you don't.


And if you really cant be bothered, dont donkey vote! Votes that have "watermelon" scrawled across them don't affect the final result, whereas donkey votes do.

Join the Once-A-Month-Sew-And-Tell Club!

This is for all those who have said they would or might like to join...

The Once-A-Month-Sew-And-Tell Club!

As a New Years Resolution, those of the Club will try to Sew at least one item of clothing/an accessory a month, and Tell their progress somehow on the internet through a photo.

This is not nessessary to join, but I thought a flickr group could be a cool idea. If you still want to be a part of it, but dont want to post to flickr, thats cool, you can just send me your image or post a link in my monthly blog post to a picture on the internets somewhere (facebook, picasa, flickr, blog, website, etc) If you want to blog about it too thats awesome! The more the merrier I say!

And if you want to post the badge on your blog too, thats awesome, just use the one I did in my right menu bar/list thing, and perhaps link to the flickr group page; http://www.flickr.com/groups/oamsat/

Can you guys think of anything else that the club needs?

Happy New Year and Oops.

Hiya All,

First, Happy New Year and all that :) hope its a good one for ya!

Secondly, to celebrate new beginnings and all that, I gave myself a new blog address, as you can see above in that address bar of yours. Not so really-really-really long winded anymore is it?

But unfortunately it seems to create problems for those of you who have feeders and subscriptions and whatnot. Sorry folks! The only thing that seems to be working at the moment is re-linking, re-subscribing and re-doing. Thank you all for your patience, and in the meanwhile, I have put up a redirection page at the old blogarino.
