Mmmmmm, Birch Trees.

I love the whimsical quality of birch trees, and how they look near buildings. Renzo Piano actually used them in a courtyard with moss hills in the new-ish New York Times building, my heart nearly stopped it looked so pretty..

And then one of the artists featured in Frankie, Erin Paisley, used them in one of her artworks, along with another emblem of great whimsy, the red fox...

But what really inspired this post was an Australian designer collaborative Ink & Spindle who create the most beautiful fabric; Tegan, Bianca & Lara...
